Often a person feels distressed or upset but is not considered to be "depressed" or suffering from any diagnosed complaint. Often this is as a result of distress from grief, berreavement, seperation, divorce, changes in environment and other varied factors.

Often is left untreated these problems can worsen and may result in more serious and diagnosable conditions. If tackled in the early stages however, not only can the problem be dealt with more swiftly, but the more serious conditions can be avoided.

It is an unfortunate characteristic of UK culture that people are still avoiding seeking any form of assistance until it becomes almost unbearable. In the USA it is far more common for people to take action far faster, and thus have a more proactive response to potential emotional distress.

Be proactive


If you have a lifestyle that is challenging or stressful, or if you simply feel under pressure, it makes sense to have life coaching support on a regular basis, perhaps one session per one or two months. This provides support and a way of "off loading", as well as providing an opportunity to have proactive responses to problems.

Where issues do arise, whether you have a regular life coach or not, seek support early on and take control of the situation before it takes control of you!
